I wonder if anyone can help. Im pulling my hair out!
Im running windows 2000 with vmware installed. The windows machine has a adsl connection to the internet through USB. I have then installed red hat linux 7.2 on a virtual machine. I can ping the host from the client and vice versa but i cannot seem to share the internet connection.
My 2 other real windows computers on my network can share the connection. I guess I need to configure the proxy settings in netscape on the linux virtual machine but im stuck. Ive entered the windows machines ip address as its the gateway(is this right?) and guessed the port number of 3180? (saw it in a book somewhere!).
