CPU/Ram: 550Mhz, 512 SDRAM

Hey,

I am a new linux user and I can't get my internet connection to work. I have a Cable connection w/ a static IP. My OS is redhat 7.0. Thanks for the help.
Also if you know of a good URL to learn the basic of 'how to' for linux please tell me.

There should be a bunch of HOWTOs installed
on your system. Have a look under
/usr/share/doc/HOWTO
