Comment:

Redhat 8.0 has changed some of Sendmail files and locations. Usually you can send mail locally with the default settings when the sendmail is started, and know this is true because I tested previews versions. But, Redhat 8.0 doesn't even allow me to send mail to my own local account.

Any can help? thanks...

I'm having similar problems.

What I have done is editing the file /etc/mail/sendmail.mc, commenting out the line 56, the one saying:

DAEMON_OPTIONS(`Port=smtp,Addr=127.0.0.1, Name=MTA')

I suggest you take a took at:

My problem is that sendmail doesn't seem to be able to resolve any addresses, if the dialup gets up after sendmail is running (the common case). If, once the dialup link has been set up, I restart the sendmail service, everything works fine. Any ideas?

Good luck.
