I have recently aquired a whole bunch of K6 233 PC's. I really have no use for them, and would like to make some money off them (considering they were free). I know selling these PC's with Windows on them is illegal. I was wondering, for these PC's, what version of Linux would be best, if the target buying audience would be basic computer users. I.E. : Word Processing, Basic Internet Surfing, Email.. etc. I would like to sell these PC's, but know that no one who would want a basic PC is going to buy it w/o an operating system. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Fedora has a nice desktop you can use with open office products. Look at kickstart to flash in the OS from a NFS source. The installs can run concurrently taking about 1 hour / machine.

I'd use Damn Small, 20 min install, nice and light weight so good on older hardware.
If your going to do an install that takes much time you may want to use something like partimage to clone it to the other PC's.
