seeing windows shares from linux

I have managed to configure my samba browser in mandrake linux 7.1 on my p][ 300 to see the other users over the network and i can see the shares but i cannot browse the contents of these shares...what am i dong wrong ?

Hello.

smbclient -L should print a list of shares

mount -t smb \\\\MACHINENAME\\SHAREDDIRECTORY
should allow you to mount the shares.

Modify /etc/fstab to auto mount at boottime.

I'm pretty green in this area, but I hope this helps.
