Ok Here's the specs :
Dual 1000 Mhz(intel cpu)
Asus CUV4X-Dual MoBo
ATI Radeon 7200 64 Mb
768 Mb Ram
Running on Linux SuSe 9.2
Monitor : Viewsonic P810-3m 21"

The Problem : My Screen resolution is set to default to 1600 x 1200 and no matter how i change it in Sax2 or Yast or by the desktop configuration to put it to 1024 or 1280 the only thing it does is to be smaller in the up left corner , I even try it on a Samsung 17" and it does the same thing !! No Matter what i do with the screen resolution its only full screen at 1600 x 1200 ! I've try ctrl+alt+ +or- and it doesnt fix ! What is the problem ?

Check your config file (/etc/X11/XF86Config
or xorg.conf) for a line with something like
"virtual desktop = 1600x1200" and remove it.
There should also be some lines for each
colour depth that look like:
Modes "1600x1200" "1280x1024" "1024x768"...
Put you desired resolution in first, eg for
you:
Modes "1024x768" "800x600" "640x480"
