I got the latest ver. of XFree86 4.0.2, which has the drivers for my GeForce2 MX. But now the screen resolution is so high i can barely read the fonts and what im writing right now. If u know how to decrease the resolution i would really like to know.

Depends on where it put the XF86config file but likely it is /etc/XF86config or /etc/XF86config
See the modes section. If you have more than 1 then CTL-ALT-+ will toggle through them. The first one is the default. Note in the file it is all one line. If you have only one entry then choose the one you wantand add others if you want. Note that there is a mode section for 8,16,24,32 bit rendering. Make a copy before fiddling with it just to make me feel better.
