SB awe64 doesn't work on RH8.0

I recently installed RedHat 8.0 and got a problem with my SoundBlaster awe 64 value (ISA port). Kudzu did find my sound card and installed drivers. Everything worked fine until I went to X. There, there was no sound at all. I tried sndconfig and it did find and configure my sound card and those sound samples were fine. But the most annoying thing is that my sound card worked perfectly on older Redhat distros, only on 8.0 doesn't work fine... any known issues?

I think I found out what's wrong. The sound itself is working just fine. The problem was I didn't have installed awesfx package (midi instruments for sound card), so that's why midis didn't work. And there was no mp3 decoder installed in RH8.0 by default as well, so when I got it down from xmms website, everything worked as a charm!
