Saving Linux File in win ?

Iam using Knoppix & want to save the file(text file) in my windows partion .When i try to save on win partion from Linux ,its does't do it ,a message durning saving.
Is there any way to save linux file in windows98 or windowsXP.

Chances are that it is mounted read only. You can remount it read/write with: # mount -o remount,rw /mnt/win_c NB That you will have to change "win_c" to reflect where it is mounted on your system.
That should be fine for saving to a win98 filesystem, you may have more problems with XP if you formatted using nfts instead of fat.
