Samba + windows 98 problems

OS: RHL 7.3

I running the latest version of samba on RHL7.3 and i cannot see me share dir from windows 98. I can see the share from windows 2k and XP.
Whenever i use one of the windows 98 boxes it issue the error message. 'Network path cannot be found'. I have set the PlainTextPassword in the regedit to 0x01 but still no luck. Also I cannot see the share computer from network neighbourhood. However on the same network running samba 2.2.7a on RHL9 every thing works fine. What the hell is going on. Ps I am using the same smb.cf file on both RHL9 and RHL7.3. Any ideas?

Have you checked for any non-conventional network names, eg too long or have spaces in?
