I am having a problem with samba. I have recently upgraded to version 2.2.7a as I was having the same problem with my old version (2.2.5) and hoped an upgrade might fix it.

My housemate can connect to the samba shares without any problems and transfer as much as he likes backwards and forwards. I can download anything I want from the machine with problems. However I can only seem upload files that are less than about 10K in size. If I try and upload any more than that then I get a busy cursor, a pause of about 30 seconds and then a response telling me that the network resource is no longer available. When I check the samba log file for my computer I am getting the following:

lib/util_sock.c:read_data(436)
read_data: read failure for 2048. Error = Connection reset by peer

There is nothing wrong with my network card as I can connect and use all the other services on the computer (HTPPD, POP3, SMTP, TELNET, SSH, etc)

Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.
