Hi
Trying to set up Samba 3 as a PDC on Debian Sarge and when I try and connect to it with a Windows XP client I get the dreaded 'can't find a domain controller...missing SRV record for _ldap....
I'm already running the box as a DNS server with Bind9, and can access drives exported by smb.conf just fine from all over the place.
Not one of the Samba guides I can find mention anything about adding to the BIND config, or some other way of supporting an XP client. Other people have asked this question on forums and there don't appear to have been any decent answers.
Can anyone tell me what, apart from Samba, I need to set up to let me log in XP clients to the domain?
