I know I wanna getaway from Windows but i can't so i need your help so when i try to install the emulator vmware i write the license key in kedit and put in in $theroot/home/myname/vmware/license directory but when i got to run the program it asks for the license key and i know that this license key is correct because Vmware sent it 2 me, so what is going on, i got Red hat 7.0 and running kde.

Did they send you the license in the email? If they did the top of the license file cannot contain a gap. As well when you type vmware at the command line, all the error messages should be spit out to that window. Dose the error message of the window match the location of where you put the license file?

Hi there,
To setup correctly VMWare, you have to put the license key in a file called license in this directory : /home/username/.vmware/ DO TAKE CARE OF THE "." !! That's it :o)
