Running *.exe on linux?

yes.
But not natively. And once you get them working thier performance will be iffy(unless you use Win4Lin).

Those are three versions of WINE(wine is not an emulator). They are Windows compatibility layers.

Another product to run Windows programs on Linux is Win4Lin, but it requires a valid Windows9x or ME CD and registration code. I use it to run Office becuase Open Office doesn't like all M$ Office files.
