Hi

I get the following error "RPC: Program not registered" when a program tries to connect locally to Mysql, I’ve googled the error and came up with nothing, the program was compiled with no errors on the machine, the same program works fine on another machine, here are some info about them.

Machine 1 (with the Problem):
OS: RHEL 5.1 (32 bits)
MySQL: 5.0.81-community MySQL

Machine 2 (works fine):
OS:RH7 (32 bits)
MySQL: 3.23.22-beta

And when I use the rpcinfo -p command on both machines a get the following:
Machine 1 (with the Problem):
program vers proto port
100000 2 tcp 111 portmapper
100000 2 udp 111 portmapper
100024 1 udp 891 status
100024 1 tcp 894 status

Machine 2 (works fine):
program vers proto port
100000 2 tcp 111 portmapper
100000 2 udp 111 portmapper
100021 1 udp 1024 nlockmgr
100021 3 udp 1024 nlockmgr
100024 1 udp 1025 status
100024 1 tcp 1024 status
536871321 1 udp 2468
536871321 1 tcp 3604

I think the last two lines show that mysql is registered with RPC on machine 2 but not on machine 1.

How can I register Mysql on RPC ?
Any help would be appreciated

Thanks
