Comment:

I just installed RHAS 2.1 on a machine that previously had win 2000 installed. When I first start the machine up in text mode, the name of the windows machine still shows up. How can I change this so the name of the old machine is gone and I can put in a new machine. I have already added the machine name to /etc/hosts.

Thanks

Try the hostname command. For more info:
$ man hostname
