Linux Driver provided by motorola is only for RH linux 7.1

IT DOES NOT WORK ON 7.2

and SM56 is no longer continued by motorola, so they will not have a new driver for that. FORGET IT.

I also have a stupid SM56 PCI software modem device, and it doesn't work under RH 7.2 I also tried it on RH 7.0, but it still doesn't work. When I enter kppp dialing program and select the 'query modem' option it says "Sorry. Can't open modem"
We are lost !

I am still running RH7.1, but with the latest 2.4.18 kernel. The stupid driver of SM56 gives a core dump on this kernel, but works fine on the original kernel... 2.4.2. PLz somebody help us all in handling this idiotic win modem that motorola has safely disowned.

1-The only avaible driver for Motorola modems is for Data/Fax Modem only and it works on RedHat 7.1

2-And there is no driver for the "Motorola SPEAKER PHONE" Modem at all.
