Comment:
I ran uptodate on my system and the new kernel panics when its loading.
Does anyone know how I can remove that kernel for the boot process so it doesn't automaticaly choose that one? I want it to choose the last one. (which works fine)

hiya Rich,
well it depends on whether up2date removed the previous kernel, usually does not happen. so if you are using lilo/grub you should be able to select which kernel you want.
Unless, you have a lilo with a boot prompt, then you will have to press the TAB key to see what kernels are listed and choose the one that works.
