Hi,
I'm new to Linux and running SuSE 8.2 Pro. I reconfigured something graphical on the desktop and trashed the X system and had to reinstall Linux. Although SuSE said the install option the best for a reinstall it appeared to have formated everything, including a file that i want back! The user name is the same for the old and new installs but there is just the clean install of the desktop files in usr bin/folder. So even after a probable format is there a place to find this file or way to get it back? A thousand thanks in advance oh most revered technical ones...
david

There are lots of programs, but most (if not all) are not free.
