ooh boy... i think i really buggered up this time. was trying to organise the 'start' menu in kde using kmenuedit and had a lot of problems. i tried dragging all of the 'utilities', 'development' etc.. icons under one menu, 'Applications'. when i went back to my start menu, they had all disappeared. they have also disappeared from /usr/share/applnk. what did i do and is there anyway to restore it ?
i read a post that the /usr/share/applnk dir is like the windows equivalent /start menu dir. i tried adding dirs and icons to /usr/share/applnk but they didnt appear in the start menu ? what did i do wrong ? any help would be appreciated plz..
