Why do you want to connect to localhost?

"Best Practices", Event viewer, host file, perfmon, antivirus, anti-spyware, Live CD's, backups, are in my top 10

Hi,

I need to connect to a remote server , our website is hosted
on. This is a Linux (openSUSE 11 with Plesk 9) server.
I did already try :
init.d/proftpd restart
but wouldn't get any result

Problem solved !

init.d/proftpd exists - but doesn't run the FTP

proftpd on Plesk runs under inetd, so the command was:

/sbin/service xinetd restart

Thanks anyways!

You can check, Pure-FTPd it is a free, secure, production-quality and standard-conformant FTP daemon that was designed with security in mind.
