Here is the layout for my primary master
hard drive.

Primary Partition fat32 (C: drive)
Linux ext3 /boot
Linux ext3 /
Linux Swap Swap
Logical Partition fat32 (My
Documents)

I am using Mandrake 9.2 along side Windows
98se on the same 20Gb hard drive.
My question is, since I am running out of
space in logical drive containing My
Documents, can I shrink the size of the /
partition to make more room for the logical
fat32 partition? Can I do this without
causing problems with Linux? What program
would work the best for accomplishing this
resizing task. I will also need to move
the swap partition in order to grow the
logical fat32 partition. What problems if
any am I likely to encounter during this
process?

I'm pretty sure parted can resize FAT
partitons etc if you have it installed. A
third party app like partition magic is
also an option.

When playing around with partitions (esp
resizing) always make a backup of any
important data just in case.
