When you're dual booting Windows/Linux, and you use LILO or GRUB, how can you prevent Windows from overwriting your Master Boot Record when you reïnstall it ?

Don't think you can =(
You'll need to reinstall your bootloader after installing Windows.

Tom is exactly right! Windows is a PITA in that respect as well as others ;-) You must first install it then linux and let lilo or grub boot your box.

ps there may be a way to do it the opposite way ie loading linux then win and booting form a floppy into linux and changing the boot sequence from there. Check the how to's or the LDP

You don't necessarily have to reinstall Linux, you just need the mbr rewritten. Reinstall Windows, boot into Linux from a floppy, and then run 'lilo -v' (as root). Never used grub, so I don't know how you'd do that with grub.
