Dear All, I need some help here, I have two HD and have installed Linux on to the second HD with Win98 on the first HD. Therefore, when I boot, a screen with Linux and win98 is shown such that I can choose either OS to run.
The main thing for me now is that I would like to unistall Linux from the 2nd HD and leaving Win98 to boot without the selection screen. Please advice as I tested removing linux by removing the second hd but the screen goes blank at boot... looking forward to your replies.... thanks a million...

The quickest way is to boot to Windows
and re-write the master boot record and
remove your boot manager (lilo ?).

First, use fdisk to make sure your W98 partition is the active partition on that
drive.
Now, from a DOS prompt:

fdisk /mbr

This will re-write the master boot record
on your first hard drive.
Your drive should boot and you can then
remove your second HDD or format it or whenever...
Of course, without a linux boot disk, you
may have problems getting your second
drive to boot again :)

Good luck.

You should be able to just run fdisk and set your win98 partition to active.
