i have shared my printer on the windows machine. I have installed samba-common and smb-client (also lprng and its recommended packages). Tried to follow some of the howtos on the net but nothing works (lprng tool said can't connect to host, lpd not supported). i couldn't find smbprint anywhere. Please help!

try to connect to the shared printer using
smbclient -L //hostnameofwindows machine
if u can u will see the shares on the windows
machine now try to print to the share name
from the linux box using command line.
