Our company has a server that's a couple thousand miles away that NEEDS to have Linux with a GUI for remote install and administration.
I was wondering if there's a way I can remotely install Linux (including a GUI) to the remote server? I've spent a 1/2 hour or so just perusing other posts and their website links, but I guess I need it dumbed down to a yes or no... hopefully with a explanation in Layman's terms if it's a yes.

I asked the same question myself not too long ago somewhere else. The simple answer is no. The RedHat installer (if thats your poison) has some kind of option, but has to be able to get far enough into the install process before that can be enabled.
The question to ask you though, is there not someone onsite who can get the install far enough along for a base system to be installed which you can then SSH in to?
Debian (my poison) is simply a matter of a few key presses to get the base system installed from where customization can occur.
