let me explain this to u people
i am the responsible personel of my company's local lan. we have 70 clients that's win 2000 pro. and 1 server that is the linux machine. the linux system is providing dhcp service and hosting web based
data base and also the virtual sites to the clients. the server's ip is 192.168.0.1 and clients ip's are distributed by the linux server cuz dhcp is enabled. the server and the client's both use class c ip. all of them
have private ip's. now my boss is demanding
a remote access server so he and the employeers can access the web based database, users /home files and virtual sites from there home over a normal phone line.[pstn]. so how can i make the linux machine to receive incomming call's then authenticate the username and passwords which i will be assigning them[it must be done by the "useradd username" if i am not wrong] then then can access the sites, there
/home files.by typing the site's name in there address bar of the internet explorer.
thank's in advance..

What sort of connection to the net does the linux server have? It may be easier to access the webserver that way via IP than to dial in and you can then restict access via apache htaccess files and a firewall/port forwarding.
