Comment: ive downloaded ibms db2 comnector wich only came in a rpm format I ran alien on it and converted it to a deb file. The instlalation seemed to go over flawlessly. at no point did it prompt me for any user interaction but no program seems to be able t o use it once it is connected. I used ODBCconfig prog that is buil in and configed it but from what little documentation is on the ibm web site you apparently need to register odbc drivers with the system.. Im not sure how to do this on a debian system since the system acts like they are okay but programs dont seem to recognize theym (gnumeric open office calc etc...) does any one have any ideas on how to get it to work thanks...
