Reformat Linux

I want to know how can reformat my hard drive that has Linux previously.

I want to use windows OS.

I've never done it, but would be very surprised if you couldn't just boot with a Windows boot disk and reformat using the format command.

At the worst case, you might need to delete all partitions (fdisk) and then rebuild them first.

I tried to format using fdisk but I can't do that because I received Fixed Disk Invalid

When you install Windows, it will ask you if you want to format the drive! Click yes...

All of the above, boot to the install CD, widows will not reconigze the linux file system and ask how you want to format it.

boot with a bootable cd or floppy then use fdisk and delete your partation you want to delete.
Or use partation magic boot floppy it is a hard drive formation utility.

When stuff like that happened to me...I just got a bit for bit wiping utility. HDWipe or something. I got mine from IBM's website I think. After that just repartition with FDISK and format.

http://www.bootdisk.com is the site you need to goto. In the utilites section, you'll find a couple HD wiping utilities. Man, this site rocks. I've spent countless hours searching the web for EVERYTHING right there on that site. Ironic name too ;)
