hey

okay i wanted to dual boot between windows xp and redhat 9.0 So i installed windows first, created 2 Raw partitions, formated partition 1 (hda1) for winxp (NTFS) then i left the 2nd partition Raw. I split em up 20 GB each all on my 40 GB hard drive. So windows installs, boots fine, and now i install redhat 9.0, i configure so it installs on my 2nd Raw partition which i format for redhat, then it asks me to make a 3rd partition for SWAP or something, so i do. now i set my boot loader as GRUB, linux hda2 as my primary boot sector, and install the GRUB boot sector on my MASTER BOOT SECTOR. it installs, and when i goto boot my computer it give me a "DISK BOOT FALIURE" Message. i tried reinstalling Kernel throught the redhat setup cd as well as trying a few combinations of the boot loader (using LILO instead of GRUB, making my DOS primary over my linux, installing on the MASTER boot sector or secondary (hda2) boot sector, AND I ALWAYS GET THAT FRIGGIN ERROR MESSAGE!! Ive been at this all day and its very frustrating. PLZ HELP!!! Thanks in advance.

Have you checked that the bios is set to boot from the hard drive? If it is not, and it is just trying the floppy/CD, then this would explain the problem.
