Comment:

How do I implement a centralized system of user accounts and permissins like active directory in Windows? I dont want to setup user accounts on each machine individually. I want every redhat machine to ask a master machine whether or not the user account is valid and what permissions that person has. Thanks

Use NIS.

NIX has no support for AD, at least not yet.
