I installed RH 7.2 couple times and it just won't start. Once I almost got to the login in(typing login) whet it said somthing about can't fork
Usually it just complains like this:
unable to handle kernel paging request at virtual address 353a31da
.
.
.
.

.
Kernel panic: Aiee, killing interrupt handler.
In interrupt handler-not syncing
------
What's the problem, computer includes these parts I'm not sure about their compability; abit kt7-a, yamaha xwave-6000-soundcard, belinea 10-35-35 or 10-40-6? display. Also the setup used 4MB as default from my 16MB Riva TNT.
So what's the problem? I have tried to mess in bios, but not wery good results.

I had the same problem with my TNT2 32 MB card. I ended up just using Debian. But you could always just install Red Hat 7.1, It is less buggy.

Do you have 2 hard drives on that computer? I thought that was my problem. Perhaps it was just the video card.

Well, thank you for a URL to an entirely unrelated document (that doesn't even have a secion with error messages).

I found this message board after having run into the same problem as the original poster here and google-searching for that stupid "cannot handle kernel paging request" message. Seems RH7.2 is just plain broken. I wish someone had told me before I spent hours downloading these f---ed ISO images. Slackware, here I come ...
