I'm a newbie (as in I know nothing about linux :) to linux and I just installed Redhat 7.2 dual boot with WinXP. Installation went ok but when the GUI login screen of redhat came up the screen is all messed up. I think it is a monitor compatability problem. Can someone explain to me how do I change the monitor driver and resolution of the GUI interface in commmand prompt please.

My Nec notebook has a 14.1"TFT LCD screen. In the redhat install I've tried Generic LCD Display 1024x768 and also 800x600 and still does not work. I don't know how to change the driver/res in the command prompt, so I reinstall each time :(
