Hi I am trying to get another hard drive to install Redhat 9.0 and making a dual boot with my WinXP machine. My existing system have windows XP on an SATA raptor hard drive. I want to use one of my IDE ATA 133 drive for the Redhat 9 and making dual boot using GRUB loader. I wonder any one could show me how to do this. Thank in advance

it is quite simple...if you have partition magic, delete the windows partition from the hard drive you want to install linux on, then just toss in the redhad cd and boot it..it will give you a option of where to install it, you will want to click something along the lines of "Manual Partition", it will take you to a screen and show you both harddrives, you want to select the one that you want to install linux on, set the mount point aand have it format it and partition it and there you go. just one thing and this is important and the #1 mistake people do while trying to dual boot. YOU DO NOT WANT TO DISSONNECT THE OTHER HARD DRIVE, just take your time seeing as redhat installs fairly quickly and grub will detect the windows partition and add it in
hope that helps, hit me up in an email if you need more directions
