Just before installing packages kernel complaints : "kernel was unable to re-read partition info on /tmp/hd(x)" and cycles all my drives. Anyone has a clue what could be wrong ? I have erased al my disks rebiuld my part table but still the same prob

You need to write all zero's on the drive. I use a downloaded program called wipe. Also the Western Digital Diagnostic has a write zero function if you have that type of hard disk. Warning- after you have written zeros the disk will be unreadable in DOS until you run FDISK. It should be recognised by the Red Hat instaler however.
