Hi, I'm brand new to Linux; just put Redhat 7.2 on as desktop installation, but now I want it to be server format so that I can set up test network. How can I do this without re-installing from scratch? Thanks

Basically there is no difference between desktop and server installs, like there is with NT or other OS'es. When you do a desktop install, you basically omit the server install packages, like apache web server, anonymous FTP server, NameD (DNS) server. Real simple, just go to rpmfind.net and/or apache.org and download the distributions/rpms as needed. Just make sure they are right for your linux/kernel version.

I will agree with the difference just being the packages that are installed.
Instead of going to the net to find the rpms for the server packages you want just install them from the cds you installed the rest of the system from.
