I have tried this twice and got the same result twice...
I have 5 machines that connect to a LinkSys router to get out to the Internet. 3 of them are Windows-based PCs one Solaris, and the 5th is Linux. Two times I have installed RedHat Linux 7.2 on the 5th machine and everything will works fine the first time after installation. Now when I restart the machine with the command "shutdown -r now", the next time I enter the GUI I cannot access the internet at all. I can connect to the router no problem because I do have a private IP provided by the DHCP server but I cannot ping the external interface nor access any websites. It seems like I do not have a route out but after the install, everything was fine. When the machine restarts none of the services fail; everything seems to be fine. Any Ideas? I do not have this issue with previous versions of RedHat or other Flavours of Linux.
