Ok, I'm trying to install RedHat 7.2 on my second physical hard disk. My main hd is running windows. When I got to the actual installation of the packages about 3/4 the way through I got an error that said it couldn't read a file because it may be bad, corrupt etc...
I did download and burn the isos myself from www.linuxiso.org - My guess is that an error may have occured when I burned the cd. However I did notice that the file it was asking for was also on disk 2.
Questions:
Should I have to swap cd's mid installation?
- If so, my cdrom wouldn't open to let me put the second disk in :(
What is on this second install disk?I think what I'll try is re-burning disk 1 and installing again. Any help would be great.

The second CD has all the RPM's for the programs on. I have just installed Red Hat 7.2 from the ISOs and it asks for you to change to the second disk during the installation. Can't think why it is not doing that though? May be the fault of the ISOs due to some error during the download, so it may be worth comparing the checksums with the ones online (says something about this on the linux website)

I'm having similar problem - can't open CD drawer after inserting 2nd disk, and install is hung. Tried "text" install - CD works better, now stuck as soon as I insert 2nd CD with error "The file /mnt/source/RedHat/RPMS/tetex-fonts-1.07-30.i386.rpm cannot be opened. This is due to a missing file, a bad package, or bad media."
Tried downloading disc 2 again, tried installing on a completly different computer - same problem.
Checksums are good.
Alt-F4 brings up screen with message (same 2 lines repeated twice everytime I click OK to try again:
attempt to access beyond end of device
03:40: rw=0, want=492876, limit=335716Any ideas?
