Are there any free sites online that send out distrobution cd-rs of linux without charging for them?

As I use dial up, and it takes me weeks to download 1 complete cd. Im really strapped for money, and I dont live in town to acquire these files.

If anyone can help me out, please email me and maybe you can send me a cdrom. Im also interested in Live boot cd-s or linux, i have Knoppix 3.4 and 3.6 and WFTL..

Im also wondering where can i find programs for SUSE linux online? I have the base packages installed but i want to add GAMES, and other applications. I have tried 2cows, and download.com but the linux editions seem to lock up in suse, i believe they are not correct versions to use. I run KDE interfaces... Again thanks for your support.

With Kindest Regards,
Justin C.

Suse is rpm based and you can download lots from http://rpm.pbone.net and http://rpmfind.net. http://freshmeat.net and http://sourceforge.net also have lots of software and source code. When compiling stuff from source you can use checkinstall to create a packaged for your system...either an rpm, deb or tgz.

If you want a distro sent to you on CD for free check out http://www.ubuntulinux.org...otherwise buy a GNU/Linux book as most come with distros on CD inside the cover. Often magazines like Linux Format include distros on their cover CD.
