Hi, I don't have a CD drive in my PC. But in our office all the machines are networked. I copied the contents of the two CDs (boxed set) to my hard drive using the CD drive in another machine. I created the boot diskette using the rawrite utility. When I try to install, it gives the messages that /dev/hda1 does not appear to contain the CDROM images. But I was able to install RedHat 7.0 using this method. What should I do to get it right. with advance thanks balasubramanian
in rh7.2 you need the iso images on the hard drive if you want to use the hard drive installation option. you can't just extracted the contents of the cds onto hard drive like 7.0. try winiso or something if u r in windows. there are other programs around which let you create iso images from cds.

Hi! If you have for example Adaptec CD creator, you can write the .iso files to CD:s from file->make CD from image. Afterwards you can copy the files from CDs to HD and then run the installation. Cheers! :-)
