Got a Poweredge 850. I put in CD 1 of 5 to install Redhat Enterprise 4, and reboot. Server boots off of the CD, and I go through selecting a language, selecting the type of keyboard and then it asks where the media is. I chose the local CDROM, and then I get an error message that reads.

CD NOT FOUND
The Red Hat Enterprise Linux CD was not found in any of your CDROM drives. Please insert the Red Hat Enterprise Linux CD and press OK to retry.

I don't understand how the server could boot off of the CD and then not know that the media is in the CDROM. I tried inserting disk 2/5 but that didn't work either. I also tried typing at the boot: prompt before installation begins.

Linux hda=cdrom
linux hdb=cdrom

I found that through Red Hats documentation cd. Neither worked.

It might be a corrupt CD number one. I suggest you download another copy, burn the image to CD and try again. Make sure you "burn as image" or "write image to CD" whichever your CD burning software calls it.
