Red hat 9 install troubles
Name: Eric_T Date: December 13, 2003 at 11:58:57 Pacific OS: Win2K, hoping for RH9 CPU/Ram: P3 933mhz/ 256mb Ram
Comment:
Basiclly i have a machine with an installation of Win2k and i am attempting to put Redhat 9 on. Of course it isn't working, the autoboot for RH9 won't load when i restart my machine.
Before you ask, i do have my CDROM at the top of my boot list.
My machine is a P3 933mhz, 256mb ram, 2 CDROM, Phoenix Bios, and 30 gig hard drive.
Any help on getting RH9 installer to load would be appreciated.

Don't open the iso and burn the files, use a program like nero and choose the option to burn an iso. I don't understand why, (i wish i did), but I learned this after several non-bootable cds.

It should boot... Boot off a floppy (linux), if you don't have one, the files and docs are on the first cd.

Have you tried booting from the other CDROM drive? Can you boot a windoze CD (if you have one)?
