Comment:

1.I downloaded red hat 7.3 (the 3 iso files)
2.I made a bootdisk.
3.I booted using the boot disk and entered setup.
4.When it asked me from where do I want to install Red hat 7.3 I chose harddisk.
5.I have on my computer 2 partitions and the partition that contains the iso files is D (the ISO files are on the root). The I saw two wierd partition names and I choose the first one it didn`t work, the second one also didnt work.
Can any body tell me whats wrong PLZ.
I realy want linux

ok u prolly wouldnt have understood that....ok
1) can u boot a cd
2) if u cannot then did u use rawwrite to make the bootdisk?
3) If you have a fairly new computer u should be able to boot the redhat disc thru ur cd rom and install it with no problems at all
4) IF you cannot boot from a cd then follow point 2)

I have a Sony VAIO just bought it like 3 months ago. MY boot priority is like this
1-CD-rom
2 FDD
3 HDD
I have the iso files on the hard disk. I have a writer but if write them just like that they won`t boot. How can I make the CDs on which I burnt the Iso files bootable.
