I downloaded RedHat 7.2 from the redhat website and burned it onto two cd's. I am planning to install it on an old pentium 120mhz machine. Following the installation instructions from redhat I made a boot disk (computer won't boot from CDROM) using rawrite. When I try to boot from the disk the computer says it's an invalid system disk. Any advice or suggestions? Thanx in advance.

P.S. The HD is completely erased.

hi Phil,

I guess its a problem with your floppy instead of linux.

So, try it with another floppy and make sure that media is not corrupted. Because, in 1.44 floppies such thing can happen for fresh ones.

I have a similar problem to Phil. I Downloaded both ISOs and I burnt them onto 2 CDs. I tried to boot from the CDROM but the PC crashes on the boot from CD(I don't know why). I tried to make a boot disk with rawrite. Although it seems the disk to be created sucsessfuly when I boot from the disk the PC crashes again. Also in windows the disk seems to be unformated. I tried many disks on 2 differents PCs with the same results and I tried many ways of burning the images with the same results again. What I should do ?

I have original Redhat CD-Rom. I created a boot disk using rawrite. The disk does not work. I believe this is a bug.
