Reconfiguring vedio card and mount

i have a s3 provage ddr.
i have install linux 7.2 now my graphic card is not working properly tell me how can i as linux to automatically prob and detect my vedio card.
secondly i have use mount command
mount -t vfat /dev/hda1 /mnt/dirname
it give an error that /ded/hda1 doesnot exist i have change /dev/hda2,3.... upto what partations i have but errors goes on.
