i dont think my realtek 8019 nic is being detected, if so how can i tell? if not isnt the driver for that card in the linux files somewhere and while file and how to install? thank you

ifconfig on the cmd line should tell you. If it is your only card, it will probably show up as eth0, if there are others it may have a different number. If it doesn't show in ifconfig, have a look in /lib/modules// and see if there is one that looks appropriate. If there is, you can insmod then lsmod to see if it is inserted. Otherwise you may need to recompile your kernel with the proper support. You may also need to do a ifconfig ethx up to get it initialised.

I have the same card, it is never listed in supported cards and I never got it to work untill I used mandreke 7.2 it saw it but was not working right all I did was put the IRQ and I/O in manually and it works, oh ya the moduel is ne.
