RAID 0 + RH 7.2 =...disaster?

ok im a total newbie at linux i havent even gotten it installed and im having trouble already!! lol ok heres my problem i have a system running RAID 0 2 40 gb western digitals (ide) and i wanted to install RH so i tried and i get the following errors hde and hdg partition tables are not reabable then it wants to rewrite them basically formatting my drives is hde and hdg my two hdds? if so why doesnt it recognize them as one like it should ?? also i have 2 cd drives... is there any way i can install redhat on my RAID array without losing all my stuff'? ?
