Comment:
I have a Radeon 9200 graphic card. Linux Redhat 9 detect it as vesa general graphic card. therefore no 3d builtin support is availble. I configure display setting manually; I test radoen 9100, 9000, 8500. but none of them doesn't work at all. Is there any solution? thanks for any help in advance

I think the latest XFree86 (4.3) might have DRI support for your card, try it first (find redhat rpms at rpmfind.net) if it still doesn't work then get the binary drivers from ATI's website.

did you install the driver properly? Drivers are kernel version specefic so you should have downloaded a driver for redhat 9 (or your kernel version) and loaded it as "modprobe <drivername>. There must also change your /etc/XF86Config file, have a look at the README file included with the driver.

Look at this site: http://dri.sourceforge.net/cgi-bin/moin.cgi/ATI They have what you want.
I believe the driver provided by ATI doesn't support 3D acceleration.
