Hi.. I just had qmail setup and everything works fine. I am able to receive mails fromt he mail account I set up. However, when I try to send mails with the account that I setup, I get an error msg.
The message could not be sent because one of the recipients was rejected by the server. The rejected e-mail address was 'abc@hotmail.com'.
Subject 'TEST!!!',
Account: 'my-mail',
Server: 'my-mail-server', Protocol: SMTP, Server Response: '553 sorry, that domain isn't in my list of allowed rcpthosts (#5.7.1)', Port: 25, Secure(SSL): No, Server Error: 553, Error Number: 0x800CCC79(I replaced my real email in my server with "my-mail" and server's smtp with "my-mail-server" for confidentiality reasons. I tried and added "hotmail.com" in rcpthosts and I was able to send mail to hotmail.com but that doesn't sound logical. AM I supposed to add entries ofr every possible domain in the world so me or my users can send mails from our account on my mailserver? Please help. Thank You.

As an anti-spamming measure, most ISPs disallow running your own SMTP server on their networks.
To circumvent this, you will need to configure Qmail to use your ISP's mail server for all outgoing mail (mail.yourisp.com or similar.)
I use Exim, so I wouldn't know how to accomplish this in Qmail.
Good luck.
