More of a fix than a problem :) After wallowing through loads of pages to get the scroll support working, I saw something that caught my eye. It appears that the Netscroll+ is MS intellimouse compatible, which RedHat (7.1) happens to fully support. I thought, hey why not, and changed the mouse over. Viola! full scrollwheel support in everything it seems :)

Thanks, Jack. It really works! I was beginning to think it would never be possible to use the mouse wheel on Linux.
